As of last update in September 2021, e-cigarettes and related products, including vape devices and e-liquids, were regulated under the South African Tobacco Products Control Act of 1993, which treats them as tobacco products. This means that these products were subject to some level of regulation in South Africa, primarily in terms of sales, marketing, and age restrictions.

However, regulations can change, and it's essential to check with the latest local authorities or the South African Health Department for the most up-to-date information on the legal status and regulations of e-cigarettes in South Africa. Regulations can vary from region to region, so it's important to be aware of the specific rules that apply in your area.

According to the South African Health Organization's guidelines, tobacco products are defined as "any product made or derived from tobacco," and this definition also extends to encompass "any component, part, or accessory," including electronic cigarettes and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). In simpler terms, if a zero-nicotine e-liquid can be used in any product classified as a tobacco product by the South African Health Organization, it is also classified as a tobacco product, subject to all associated regulations and restrictions.

In accordance with South African laws, the minimum age for the sale and/or use of tobacco products and/or any Vaporizers, E-Cigarettes, and other Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) is 18 years of age, effective as of September 2021.

Vaporizers, vape pens, disposable vapes, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), and e-pipes are among the various Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS).

As members of the Vapour Products Association of South Africa (VPASA):

We at Ating believe that our products are only suitable for adult smokers who are looking for a less harmful alternative.
We at Ating commit to NOT sell to individuals who are under the age of 18.
We at Ating commit to train our employees to ensure appropriate age verification at all points of sales.
We at Ating commit that to ensure contractually delivery companies do not deliver electronic nicotine and non-nicotine delivery systems (ENNDS) to under-age persons.
We at Ating are in favour of regulations that prohibit the sale of ENNDS to anyone under the age of 18. We are in favour of regulation that will have tough penalties for those who do not adhere to this position of ‘no under-age sales.’
We at Ating recognise as an industry the growth in social media platforms as the preferred means of communication with our consumers, and to this end, care and due diligence is observed to ensure we do not promote vaping and/or ENNDS to under-age persons. We use these platforms to support adult smokers who are looking for a less harmful alternative to smoking.
We pledge to support the Youth Access Prevention (YAP) campaign by displaying this pledge, YAP stickers for all our consumers to see; posting on our social media platforms materials and content to this effect.

We have stringent age verification measures in place to ensure that vaping products are only accessible to individuals of legal age. These measures include:

In-Store Verification: Our physical retail stores mandate age verification by requesting identification from patrons to confirm they meet the legal age requirement.
Online Age Verification: Our website employs robust age verification methods to confirm the legal age of customers during the online purchasing process.
Courier Verification: Our courier services are also integral to our age verification process. Couriers are instructed to request identification upon delivery to confirm that the recipient is of legal age to receive vaping products.

Unfortunately not. We cannot repair vapes here at Ating.

Disposable vapes are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Rebuilables, RBA, RDA, RTA, and Mech Mods are for experts, not your average or beginner vaper with no OHM METER or knowledge of how to use a meter or when a meter must be used or how electronic devices work. The inexperienced without basic knowledge of electronics cannot safely use these devices. THESE PRODUCTS CARRY NO WARRANTY

Clearomizers, Atomizers and Commercial tanks carry NO warranty due to health and hygienic reasons.

Batteries, Electronic Mods and Electronic Devices carry a 90 Day warranty. Warranty is nullified if any physical damage is present on the device.

To expedite the resolution process, we would appreciate it if you could provide the following details:

Clear and well-lit picture(s) of the damaged or incorrect product(s).
Specify the number of products affected by this issue (e.g., 1 out of 3 bottles).
A brief description of the problem encountered.
Your unique order number (e.g., #12345).

Please bear in mind that it's advisable to inspect all bottles for potential leaks and ensure the caps are securely fastened. Ating cannot assume liability for any damage to personal belongings resulting from leaks or improper handling of our products. Your cooperation is much appreciated as we work to address any issues promptly.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Regrettably E-Liquids and disposable Vapes and Tanks cannot be returned, please contact us regarding any issues.
The Buyer shall inspect the Goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify the Seller within 7 working days of delivery confirming via email if the Goods are damaged. If you receive the wrong goods, please do not open them. Inform us immediately.
If the Buyer fails to do so the Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods. If the Buyer would like to return any goods for any reason at all, the Buyer may do so within 7 days of receiving the purchased goods. Goods returned must be in a new and unused condition.
The Seller will refund the cost of the goods; however shipping charges are non-refundable, unless its a mistake on our side.
Where a claim of defect or damage is made, the Goods shall be returned by the Buyer to the Seller for a replacement after receiving prior confirmation by the Seller via e-mail.
If an item is found defective and it is still within the manufacturer warranty period the item will be replaced, unless the warranty has been voided by misuse.
Please note as per the CPA the seller is allowed 2 weeks to check a faulty device and return. Please be patient with us while we check the device.
Prior consent from the Seller must be approved via e-mail before any Goods are shipped back to the Seller. All returns are the responsibility of the Buyer until the returned Goods reach the Seller.
Goods to be returned must clearly show the order number of the original purchase on the package and full packaging. Where returned Goods are found to be damaged due to the Buyer
Refunds and warranties will not be applied to Goods that have been damaged due to misuse or negligence or not correctly following the instructions supplied with the product
With all purchases we provide 7-day policy where if the product is at fault we will exchange. Refunds are only issued when we have had a chance to resolve the problem with you. If you require a refund, then at your cost all goods must be returned to us by post, and you must take reasonable care to ensure that they are returned in good condition.

Yes of course you can. If you have not paid for your order you can cancel your order under the view orders tab and then go into the specific order and press cancel. If you have already paid then please be sure to give us a call to manually cancel and refund you.

If you want to reorder a previous order, go into your account management panel, click orders then click the Order Again button.

You will be redirected to our Secure Checkout screen, where you can complete the transaction.

Your order may be canceled at any time before it has begun processing. Before attempting to cancel an order, please ensure it does not have the Processing or Shipped status.

There are several ways you can cancel your order:

Within the My Account section on our website, select the Cancel Order action on the order you wish to cancel.
The order will then be canceled immediately.

Orders usually ship in less then 24 hours from payment before being dispatched.

Orders are processed during standard business hours only. Vape King processes orders Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:00 (South African Standard Time), excluding public holidays.

Orders placed outside of these hours, including weekends and public holidays, will be processed on the next business day. Processing times refer to order handling and dispatch preparation only and do not include courier delivery timeframes.

Please note that if payments are received later than 11:00 AM daily, goods will only be dispatched the next day.

The cut off time for orders to be dispatched with the couriers on the same day as the order is placed is 11:00 AM Monday - Friday. Any orders/payments made after 11:00 AM will only be dispatched the following day.

Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday ship on Monday. You should receive your package on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Orders placed on Monday - Thursday will generally ship in 1-2 business days. Orders placed on Saturdays and Sundays will be processed in the order they were received on the following Monday. Orders from the weekend may take up to 2-4 business days to ship.

If you've added the wrong address to your order, please contact our Customer Service team or add a note to your order containing the correct address.

Be sure to send it before the order is marked as processed/shipped as you will be held liable for any expenses incurred by Ating as a result of providing the incorrect details.
